Official Poster Drops for Upcoming Anthology Film XX

Here’s a project that’s at the top of my “Must See” list. XX is an all-female driven horror anthology that features films from some of the most talented women working in horror today. No details are known about the individual films yet, as many are either still shooting or are still in pre-production, but this is something that is right up my alley. For years I’ve been asking, begging, for a stronger female voice in the horror genre. XX is answering my call. The directors involved should all be familiar names to the horror fan. Mary Harron, writer-director of 2000s AMERICAN PSYCHO; Jovanka Vuckovic, editor of Rue Morgue Magazine for six and a half years and the writer-director of the short films THE CAPTURED BIRD and THE GUEST; Jennifer Lynch, writer-director of SURVEILLANCE and HISSS; and Karyn Kusama, director of JENNIFER’S BODY. XX is a new horror anthology with a gender twist – all segments will be helmed by female directors and will star female leads. The directors have been given free creative rein within budget and time constraints, but all of the segments themselves will involve the horror genre.
